Has anyone else just gotten a notice from the publisher that the International Journal of Immunotherapy has ceased with v.20 no.1 2004  and that any articles on the subject will be published in another one of their journals that we have never had a subscription. We had been claiming this.  We haven't seen any issues of the other title as a substitution either.

It was on our renewal list for 2005 so we are out another $377.90 besides what we paid for 2004. With our claims, why didn't EBSCO find out this information before us.  This has taught me that it is probably best to cancel any titles that get behind.  (Have you noticed how a lot of journals are behind all year and then play catch up in December.) We should never have paid for a 2005 subscription to something that no longer existed.

I e-mailed my rep and told her what I had received from the publisher.
So one of the alternate customer reps at EBSCO (my regular one was out) asked me if I wanted them to send a cancellation notice.  She didn't seem hopeful that we would get any money back since the publisher did not offer this as an option. My regular rep has cancelled.  ( I like the idea of cancelling a ceased journal.)  EBSCO why aren't you protecting us against such a loss?
