Far Eastern Economic Review

This title changed from weekly to ten issues per year with the December 2004 issue. I e-mailed Hugo Restall, the editor, to inquire whether their volume year would now be December through November, or would go to a calendar year. I suggested a one-time no.11 to accomplish the latter. Here's his reply:

Hi Lynne,
Thanks for your note, it spurred us to think ahead and settle this issue. We've decided to make the next December issue a number 11, so that vol. 169 will start in January 2006. From then on we'll follow the calendar year. Please do pass the word.
Gunghei fatchoy!

Thanks, Hugo, for your prompt reply and especially for being responsive to the needs of the library community. You have no idea how rare a commodity that is! :-)
