PRESS RELEASE

Publishers contribute new content to Project MUSE®

BALTIMORE (December 14, 2004) - Project MUSE® is pleased to announce
the selection of 26 new scholarly, peer-reviewed journals and 7 new
publishers in 2005. These 26 journals were selected on the basis of
their value to the collections, and their inclusion in indexes and
archival collections.

A unique collaboration between academic libraries and university
presses and scholarly societies, MUSE enables not-for-profit publishers
in the humanities and social sciences to disseminate their content
globally. Since 1999, more than 210 journals from over 50 publishers
have been selected for inclusion in the Project MUSE® collection,
bringing the total number of full-text titles offered to over 270. An
estimated 10.8 million scholars worldwide have access.
