Marymount Manhattan College, a college of the liberal arts located on the
upper-east side of Manhattan, is seeking an energetic, innovative,
service-oriented individual to serve as the Systems and Technical Services
Librarian.  The college is an active member of the WALDO consortium with a
shared Endeavor System that includes an online public catalog and numerous
full-text and bibliographic databases.

An ALA accredited Masters in Library Science, as well as previous
experience in an academic library is required.  Familiarity with Voyager
is preferred. MMC provides excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

In addition to the responsibilities of cataloging and classification of
the library's resources, the individual must be technologically savvy and
possess both the skills and desire to continue upgrading the library's new
Voyager library system.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to
managing the daily operation of the library's automated system, its'
online databases and e-books and 100 laptop computers as well as resolving
any system-related problems.  The individual will report to the Director
of the Library and will represent the library at Consortium technical
services meetings and dealing with the Information Technology Department
as well as various college committees.
