Re: DOAJ bibliographic records Tian Zhang 27 Aug 2004 18:43 UTC

Our library does not catalog DOAJ titles, instead, we include all the
titles from DOAJ in our Journals List which is managed by Serials
Solutions. That means, when the library users look for any online
journal titles, they go to the Journals List and will find all the
titles included in DOAJ. By the way, Serials Solutions updates the DOAJ
holdings automatically.

Subject: [SERIALST] DOAJ bibliographic records

Is there any library that has catalogued journals within DOAJ (Directory
of Open Access Journals) package? Do you have some identifying element
within records that one can see and possibility of sharing your records?
I got some information from ERIL Listserv, that Binghamton University
Libraries already has over 900 cataloguing entries. However, I would
like to hear if there are some other libraries that have catalogued
these journals and what is your common identifier in those records.
Binghamton University Libraries provides local subject heading DOAJ
journals, and I heard of some other ones that provide 730.

You can contact me directly if this discussion is not appropriate for
this list.
