Re: Shelving Package Titles Alan Bryce 26 Mar 2004 14:43 UTC

Good morning,
We shelve with the IEE and IEEE titles all together, in alpha order
within the IEE or IEEE "family". Our patrons (engineering students and
faculty) find them so it works for us. I only shelve a title with its
"family" if it has the "family" designations first in the title.
Hope this is helpful.

Subject: [SERIALST] Shelving Package Titles

I'm curious what policies other libraries use regarding package titles,
how they decide to shelve them. For example, one title we get from IEEE
is known as Computer. Because it is comes from IEEE we shelve it under
IEEE. A part of me wants to put a journal on the shelf under it's very
own name, but when I have a package subscription and for the sake of
convenience I want to keep the family together.

Any comments on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
jewel
