This may be a long shot, but I'm getting desperate. I changed printers a
couple of months ago, to a laser jet from an old tractor feed, and am
having mega-problems getting a readable font when using LARS.
I used to print the slips (tickets) on the tractor feed, and the reports
on the laser, and both worked fine. When I switched over to the laser
completely, the tickets printed out fine, but the reports came out in a
pictorial (unreadable) font. I called my bindery & they sent out a fix -
which had the effect of turning the ticket into the pictorial font also.
Mega tries later we've learned to do the fix, *but* as soon as I go out of
LARS & print out something else unrelated to the bindery software, when I
go into bindery again, the font has reverted.
The most recent example: I printed a bindery ticket this morning; it came
out fine. Went out of Lars, worked on problem serials, did some screen
prints, was in email (Outlook), printed out a couple of hte letters.
Went upstairs & pulled a cartfull of volumes to be bound, printed out the
first ticket, and it's unreadable.
I admit, it's probably voodoo, but - just in case it's not, and anyone
else has dealt with anything like it, I am SO open to clues.
