We have a subscription to some journals in both electronic and paper,
where the electronic issues is posted before the printed issue. A
specific title we've had a problem with is Jane's Defense Week. The
printed issue is dated for Wednesday, but the electronic version is
posted the Friday before. Our problem is that the electronic version
carries the date that it was posted, so a date range search for a
Wednesday, the date of the printed issue, will NOT retrieve the
electronic versions of those articles.

Has anyone experienced this problem with other vendors? How are you
handling it?
