Information, Innovation, Inspiration - Making the Connection
Academic Library Association of Ohio Annual Conference 2003
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Dublin, OH
November 14, 2003
ALAO cordially invites you to join us for Information, Innovation,
Inspiration - Making the Connection at our 29th annual conference. The
conference will be held on November 14, 2003 at the Wyndham Dublin Hotel
in Dublin, Ohio.
Conference theme:
This year's conference theme addresses new situations and demands that
are forcing libraries today to rethink their role and transform their
practices. Programs will be offered by colleagues who have risen to the
challenges of diminishing resources and escalating costs while
continuing to provide vital services using information, innovation and
inspiration. In all, over 25 programs and thirteen poster sessions will
be presented. In addition, interest group business meetings will be
held along with a discussion session with our keynote speaker.
Speaker:
Sally Gardner Reed, Executive Director for Friends of Libraries, U.S.A.
(FOLUSA), will be the keynote speaker. She will address the importance
of defining and connecting with "community" to raise awareness about the
importance of the library in academe and to raise financial and
political support for the library.

the Case for Your Library and A Handbook for Successful Management. She
