We close out the holdings. We haven't made notes, but that is an idea.

I have been debating on how to do this for some time, and have finally
decided to get input from other serialists. We are a selective U.S.
government depository library. Lately (in the last 2 years), several U.S.
government periodicals that we had been getting in paper are now only
available via the Internet. Here is my question - How are you all
handling the union listing of these titles? Do you simply close out your
holdings with the last paper copy? Are you just leaving the holdings
open? Do you make some kind of note, as with microfilm, that with 2001-
the item is online?

I appreciate any opinions or suggestions on the subject. And if you
actually know of some rule about this that I have managed to miss,
please
pass it on.

Thank you,
