Jennifer:
Why bother with removing them at all? We just leave ours in. So far
no problem has arisen with the bindery company.

Thanks to everyone who has responded with bindery companies/experiences.
One of our concerns has been having to remove our theft strips (tattle
tapes) before we send our items to the bindery (unless they are a certain
distance from the edge of the journal). This step is laborious, damaging
(to the journals and to our fingers) and not something I had been familiar
with at other institutions. If people wouldn't mind responding directly to
me if they have to do this or not I'd be appreciative.

Thanks,
Jennifer
