Subject: CC:DA Meetings in Toronto

The ALA/ALCTS/CCS Committee on Cataloging: Description and Access will
hold two committee meetings at the ALA/CLA Annual Conference in Toronto.
In addition, several Task Forces will meet, and CC:DA (with MARBI) will
sponsor a program on the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic
Records.

Details of all of these meetings may be found on the CC:DA Web site at

http://www.libraries.psu.edu/iasweb/personal/jca/ccda/ccda.html

The Committee will meet on Saturday afternoon and Monday morning. The
Saturday meeting will be taken up with reports from various
representatives, the most extensive being the report of the ALA
Representative to the Joint Steering Committee. The Monday meeting will
include several Task Force reports and consideration of a number of new
rule revision proposals. A summary of the agenda is available in the
Announcements section of the CC:DA Web site. The agenda is also
available, with links to many of the documents that will be discussed.
