Responsibilities: Perform original and copy cataloging and authority
work on names and series in accordance with local and national standards
in a shared local database and contributes to OCLC. Supervise one
professional cataloger and two Library Assistant 3's.  Serve on
Technical Service advisory committee with heads of Acquisitions, Serials
& Collection Development.  Set local cataloging procedure and policy for
call numbers, copy cataloging and original cataloging.  Manage myriad
aspects of the online catalog including migration, upgrades, reports,
trouble shooting, documentation, and training staff in the effective use
of new enhancements.  Serve as library liaison for two or more areas in
Collection Development work, may serve in reference rotation and library
instruction.  Required: MLS from an ALA-accredited school; 5 years
experience at the supervisory level; working knowledge of cataloging
tools & standards; current experience with a major bibliographic utility
and  an integrated library system; familiarity with current trends in
cataloging, preservation and emerging library technologies. Successful
applicant will have a commitment to acquiring and creating accurate and
timely full bibliographic access to all formats.  Preferred: reading
knowledge of 2nd language; Voyager software experience.  Appointment:
Faculty rank and status; 12-month, tenure-track position. Salary
