Colleagues:
The CONSER Cataloging Manual (CCM) infobase has been repaired. It is
available for ftp pickup at:
ftp.loc.gov/pub/cds/ccm.nfo
When asked by your web browser "What do you want to do with this
file?" check the radio button "Save it to disk." The file is 6.4 mb,
so depending on your internet connection speed, it may take a little
while for the file to download.
Once the download is finished, save the file to the same directory in
which your other infobases are stored. For subscribers with stand-alone
installations, in most cases this will be the <c:\Program
files\Lc\Cataloging Tools\Nfo\> folder. For subscribers with network
installations, the <\Nfo\> folder on your network server is the location
to which this file needs to be saved.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused but are confident
that this will resolve the display problems that several institutions
experienced.
