I asked EBSCO about the subject headings and got this answer that they
were LC subjects:

"The 'subject' for each journal is determined by the Library of
Congress. If you come across a journal that you feel has an incorrect
subject assigned to it, please forward this information and we will be
happy to research the title and make any needed corrections.
If you have questions, contact ISS User Services Web Support at (800)
554-7149 (inside North America); or (205) 991-1161 (outside North
America) between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. CST. You can also
contact us by fax at (205) 980-2770, or by e-mail at WEBSUPPORT@EBSCO.COM."

Probably you all can determine the accuracy of this answer better than I
could.
