I've just been going 'round with this subscription. For the past couple
of years, it has been ending before renewal time, and we claim, reclaim
and generally end up with a gap.
Well, shades of Harvard Business Review. (And that little discussion
was just beginning to fade . . .)
Money also sells its subscriptions by the issue rather than by the time
period. So what I took to be an annual renewal is actually for a
certain number of issues - currently 13. And, of course, supplements
count, as do special "double" issues (which count as two.) Therefore,
although I was told by the person I spoke to on the phone that he
certainly could not guarantee anything, generally speaking 13 issues
arrive in about 10 months, and my subscription, which will begin with
the April 2003 issue will *probably* cease with the January 2004 issue.
I fought - and won - the HBR war (or at least, battle). The divine
debacle has taken all my energy these past weeks, and I surrendered
unconditionally to Money. But that doesn't mean I won't share the info
. . .
