Re: Price Increases for 2003 (2 messages) Ian Woodward 22 Nov 2002 13:24 UTC

Our Annual Renewal List also quotes a price of $161. However, the invoice we received from EBSCO lists a charge of $299. I do think EBSCO might send alerts under such circumstances. Harrassowitz does for price increases that exceed 30%. IW

I checked my Ebsco renewal list and the price for HISTORY is still $161.00 for 2003. Could it be just a mistake on your list?

I am going through my EBSCO renewal list and found that History: A Journal of the History Association has raised its subscription price from $161 to $299 per year. I emailed Judy Cornish, marketing manager for journals at jcornish@blackwellpublishers.co.uk
and told her it was absurd. I'm waiting for her reply. Maybe she should
hear from everyone!

Our Faxon/Dawson/Rowe/Divine agent always provides special notice of price increases over a certain dollar amount. I think it was written into the contract. We have the right to cancel at that point if we choose.
