POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

ACQUISITIONS/PERIODICALS LIBRARIAN  The University of Texas-Pan American
(UTPA)

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will supervise ordering,
receipt, and payment for all library materials; provide fund accounting and
budget information; foster and maintain communication with campus
departments and vendors; monitor expenditures; supervise and evaluate
staff; and supervise the purchase, receipt, etc of periodicals.

Requirement:  MLS degree from an ALA accredited institution;  two years
experience in acquisitions or serials; supervisory experience.

Preferred:  experience with DRA; a second master's degree.

Position:  Non-tenured administrative staff position.  Open until filled.
Salary is $35,000, plus benefits
