Subject: e-mail problem explained

To all:
I just wanted to let you know what my computer support people have
told me about my e-mail problems (just in case any of you ever have
such a problem),
It was definitely on our (SFSU's) end. Our tech support was
"fixing" one of their SPAM filters that never seemed to work and had
the filter delete any messages that had "recipients name suppressed"
or words to that effect. What that did was essentially delete any
messages sent in digest form from listservs. Fortunately, now that
they have discovered this, they fixed it and I should be receiving
your messages from now on.
This was the first time I have ever experienced this kind of
problem, but I thought I would share it with you since blocking SPAM
messages has been something that I am certain that many computer
support people have been dealing with this issue.
