Electronic Resources Access Librarian

Towson University's Albert S. Cook Library seeks a full-time librarian to provide quality, client-centered access to electronic resources.  This position reports to the Head of Technical Services.  Responsibilities include cataloging of electronic resources, licensing, and the day-to-day management of the library's electronic resources, including trouble-shooting user access problems with the library's electronic databases.

Qualifications:

Required:  ALA-accredited master's degree in Library Science; familiarity
        cataloging electronic resources and/or serials; experience using OCLC and
        integrated library systems; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:  Familiarity with metadata standards, licensing requirements, and
        copyright standards.

This is a library faculty position on permanent status track at a Librarian I level.

Salary is commensurate with experience; begins fall 2002.
