I'm glad to know we are not the only library having problems with mutilation of this title.  We have been able to get *most* of the replacement issues needed, but it isn't cheap.  We have always used just the issue numbers for binding, so I'm with Susan in assuming the volumes numbers have been problematic in the past.  Out of curiosity, I checked Ebsconet and they use just the issue numbering.
