First let me congratulate you on having a complete volume to bind! This
title is one of the most heavily mutilated titles we own, and we have lots
of problems obtaining replacement issues.
But to answer your question, we gave up on their volume numbers in 1995
and we record holdings by the whole number on each issue. We try to use
the most stable numbering we can find, so I'm assuming that there have
been strange doings with the volume numbers in the past.
