Please join the ALCTS Electronic Resources Discussion Group Saturday, June
15, 2002 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm in the Hilton Atlanta Salon A for two
exciting guest presentations on electronic resources cataloging.

Steve Shadle (University of Washington Libraries) will be providing an
overview of the new SCCTP (Serials Cataloging Cooperative Training)
Electronic Serials Cataloging Workshop, with particular attention to how the
new revisions to AACR2 Chapter 12 have been incorporated into that course.

Robert Freeborn (Penn State University Libraries), Rebecca Lubas (MIT
Libraries), and Steven Miller (University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee) will
present information detailing the recent changes to AACR2 Chapter 9,
Electronic Resources.  Changes in rules and Library of Congress rule
interpretations will be highlighted, and examples of previous and current
practice for cataloging both direct and indirect access electronic resources
will be included.

Also, the Electronic Resources Discussion Group is still soliciting
volunteers to run for Vice-chair/Chair Elect.  Please contact either myself
(tina.shrader@asu.edu) or Maxine Sherman (msherman@cuyahoga.lib.oh.us ) to
volunteer.
