Subject: IT Organization Plan

We are in the process of an Information Technology organizational plan
which would merge the library with Media Services, Academic Computer
Services, Techology Learning Services, Information Systems, and Web
Development. The result being all team members would rotate amoung the
various IT areas. Our director would like to know if any library has
undergone this process and how  it is working now. What is the feelings
among the library staff? What about the patrons? How long did it take
from start to finish? The projected time for us is 2003-2004. What about
cost? Were any jobs eliminated in the library as a result?
We would appreciate any comments and opinions.
