TITLE:  LIBRARY LIAISON OFFICER

Starting Date: 7-1-02
Salary: From $ 40,000

DESCRIPTION: Amigos offers an opportunity for an energetic, people-oriented
librarian to develop programs supporting library automated systems and
cataloging services provided by Amigos.  Duties include developing
technical training materials and presenting small group training sessions
including teaching over the Internet; consulting; and providing user
support.

QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school.

REQUIREMENTS: Three years progressively responsible professional-level
experience with expertise in cataloging rules, MARC format, and other
metadata standards such as Dublin Core or EAD; experience with  OCLC
systems and software, familiarity with library systems and the Internet;
ability and willingness toexplore new ideas; excellent oral and written
communication skills; willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.
