Often times when one of our subscriptions does not renew properly or there
is a problem with the subscription the only way I hear about it is when a
patron tells me our access has been cut off or has expired etc... I would
like to avoid this and know there is a problem before it effects our
users. Does anyone know of a program that would run on a monthly basis
that would actually go in and try to download an article and if it can't
would notify me of a problem with the subscription. I am looking for
something that does more than just check the URL link, but would also
verify access. In the past I usually manually check links but as our
electronic collection grows this has become very time consuming. Do any
of the serials management products provide this type of service? I would
appreciate hearing what other people do in this situation.
Thanks in advance,
Jennifer Vigil
