Colleagues,

The University of Cincinnati is planning to merge a ~2million microform
collection with a current periodical collection.  In order to plan for
staffing needs associated with the microform collection I am hoping you
could take a moment to answer the following questions. Barb Connelly, in a
previous email, was focussing on arrangement, we are interested primarily
in staffing.

1. What is the approximate size of your microform collection?

2. How many reader printers do you have?

3. How many FTE staff are assigned to manage or assist with this collection?

4. Aside from public service, do the responsibilities of staff include:
__ Checkin of microform material
__ Claiming of material
__ Cataloging material
__ Other technical processing
__ Assisting / managing other collections (please elaborate)

5. Aside from assisting users with equipment, and shelving microform, what
other tasks are assigned to student employees?
