Subject: Old mfilm reader
We have in storage an old Recordak microfilm reader. It stands about 3
feet tall, and in my view, is taking up space. My director believes it
has some merit as an antique. Can anyone help with information? Are
there any library museums that collect old artifacts? Here is what I
found on the machine:
Recordak film reader, Model MPE
Patent USA
2.279.384
2.518.682
Canada 1942
Made in USA by
Eastman Kodak Co.
Rochester, N.Y.
For its subsidiary
Recordak Corporation
New York, N.Y.
We also have old book checkers for magnetizing/demagnetizing machines,
book check units, filmstrip machines, old Kardex files, other metal
files for 4 X 6" cards, if anyone is interested in memorabilia.
