Subject: ALCTS Electronic Resources Discussion Group at ALA Midwinter: Sec ond
 Notice

Please join the ALCTS Electronic Resources Discussion Group from 11:30
a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2001 in the Ile de France III room, 3rd
floor, of the Le Meridien New Orleans Hotel, as we discuss the experiences
of three libraries with the services provided by electronic journal
management vendors such as Serials Solutions, TDNet, and JournalWebCite.

Michelle Sitko, the Coordinator of Collection Management Services and the
Serials Learning Resources Center at Marywood University will discuss her
library's implementation of JournalWebCite's e-serials management services.
Gregory Szczyrbak of York College of Pennsylvania will share that
institution's experience as TDNet's first U.S. Academic customer.  Virginia
Taffurelli of the New York Public Library's Science, Industry, and Business
Library will speak about her library's efforts to use Serials Solutions
products and services to help promote access to electronic resources.  Ample
time will be provided for audience participation and discussion.

Anyone who has experience with these or other vendors in the electronic
serials management area is welcome to join us and share your experiences.
