Assistant Librarian (full or part time)

The Space Telescope Science Institute is seeking a self-motivated,
resourceful,
service-oriented individual to become a member of the library team that
provides
information services to our diverse scientific and support staff and
visitors.
With a minimum of five years experience, candidates should possess a
master's
degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
Primary responsibilities are in cataloging and database maintenance,
serials
control, and user services.  Substantial experience in a small, special
library
is essential, as is a demonstrated knowledge of applications of computer
technology to library procedures, including significant experience with
OCLC.
Experience with SIRSI, Access databases, spreadsheet applications, and
the NT
computing environment are highly desirable.

ST ScI, located on the Johns Hopkins University campus, offers an
excellent

The minimum salary is $39,825; however, STScI's pay is commensurate to
the
