Dear Ms Kimball,

Thank you for your enquiry.

As regards the numbering of the RSA Journals, we have not kept to a
uniform
numbering system this year, as the Journal has undergone many changes,
not
least of which was its switch from quarterly to bi-monthly.

So far this year there have been 3 Journals, and the 4th is due to be
published in December. They have been labelled thus:

1|4 April 2001

2|4 August 2001

3|4 October 2001

4|4 December 2001

As of next year, we will start to label the Journals according to their
new
bi-monthly status, therefore:

1|6 February 2002

2|6 April 2002

3|6 June 2002

etc...

We will also be reinstating the Volume numbers at the start of next
year, so
the first issue will be Vol. CXLIX, No. 5500, 1|6 2002.
I am afraid the website is wrong, as we have not yet progressed to the
1|6,
2|6 numbering system. I will put Journal 1|4 2001and Journal 2|4 2001 in
the
post for you today. I am sorry they were never received.

Kind regards,

Amanda Jordan
