Edinboro University invites nominations and applications for the
following full-time tenure track position beginning Fall 2002. The
University, a member of the State System of Higher Education, is
located 15 miles south of Erie, PA. Enrollment consists of
approximately 7,500 students. Our 585-acre campus is located in
scenic northwestern Pennsylvania, approximately 100 miles from
the educational and cultural centers of Cleveland, OH; Buffalo,
NY; and Pittsburgh, PA.

#300-1093 – Technical Services - Instructor/Assistant Professor –
9-Month Faculty Position

Responsibilities: Automated cataloging and serials/acquisitions
systems, all aspects of acquiring, cataloging and maintaining the
collection for print and digital materials. Maximize use of system
capabilities. Some reference desk work.

Qualifications: MLS from ALA accredited program; three years’
experience; cataloging and/or serials experience in an academic or
research library; experience in an automated cataloging/serials
environment (preferably Voyager); strong interpersonal skills;
ability to work independently and collaboratively; preferred
additional graduate studies beyond the MLS and demonstrated
ability to create statistical reports for analysis.

*Note: In accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining
agreement between the State System of Higher Education and
APSCUF, you may be assigned to perform work at off-campus
sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, faculty members are
expected to maintain a record of scholarship, perform additional
duties such as student advising, and contribute positively to
departmental/university activities, etc., in compliance with a
collective bargaining agreement. In order to be a finalist in the
search, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, the
candidate minimally must be able to communicate well and perform
well in an interview and teaching demonstration to be considered
for the position

SALARY: Very competitive; commensurate with
qualifications/experience.
