We (ORU) canceled our subscription to microfilm and CD-ROM but picked up
the ProQuest online subscription to NYT. We keep the most current 3
months of the print for users who experience the "hands-on need". While
this way is more expensive, the statistics prove we are reaching more
patrons.

Here at Montgomery College-Germantown Campus Libary in Maryland we are
still
receiving the microfilm for NY Times and Washington Post. We also have
available via Proquest the electronic version of both; however when the
business classes do retrospective searching regarding corporations and
their
stocks, we find the microfilm is necessary.

I would like to find out if anybody is cancelling their New York Times
and/or Wall Street Journal microfilm in favor of electronic
subscriptions
(or just cancelling them due to cost, or whatever).

If so, which electronic products are you using or considering?

Thanks in advance,
Hallie
