Hi.
I had such good luck with my previous inquiry, I'm back again, but with
a completely different kind of question.
I conducted a "quick-and-dirty" search in the Serialst Archives, but
found very little recent discussion on issues regarding migration from
one integrated library system to another. Also, I am specifically
interested to know if there have been any major changes in the SIRSI
serials module since 1996. (It was reportedly a rather clunky module at
the time, but then so is the serials module of the ILS we are currently
using.)
Has anyone done an "impact" or feasibility study in anticipation of such
a move? I did find reference to a few articles that I will pursue, but
will welcome some informal input, especially observations on SIRSI's
acquisitions and/or serials modules. If you have migrated from DRA to
SIRSI in recent times, you could be my new best friend.
Thanks in advance. Again, please respond to: Tusa@almark.lamar.edu (NOT
to the list.) I will share info if interest is expressed.
