Re: Circulating Periodicals? Pat Bennett 22 Oct 2001 12:16 UTC

We circulate must of our periodicals. We do not circulate newsletters,
newspapers or the currents issue of a magazine. For popular titles like
Time, Business Week and Consumer Reports we receive multiple copies and
keep one as non-circulating. Ten items can be checked out and the loan
period is two weeks.

Are there any public libraries on this list that are currently
circulating periodicals? If so, is it done at all branches, or selected
branches? What criteria do you use to decide which ones circulate, or
when they are allowed to circulate? How many can be checked out and how
long is the borrowing period?

If you do not circulate periodicals, what are your reasons?

Thanks for any information you can provide,
