Therefore, this Institute is designed for librarians from all types of libraries who are responsible for providing users with access to print publications or Internet resources, whether by cataloging, by collecting, or by designing subject-specific Web pages, or by other means. Topics range from library leaders' viewpoints on cataloging in an electronic age to the how-to's of creating bibliographic records. It emphasizes the forthcoming revision of AACR2 rules, the creation of new rules for new resources and the major changes in AACR2 chapters 9 and 12, integrating resources, ISSN, MARC21 and metadata for managing Web resources and a vision for how to apply the new rules. This Institute will provide you the most effective and most efficient options to face these changes and to meet these challenges for the coming year.
