Hi,

I'm not aware of a rewinder, but when we had that problem we obtained
special take-up reels that would lock onto the machine (by means of a
tiny
screw, I think). That made it harder to rewind the backwards ones on
the
reader/printers, but eventually, we didn't have any backwards ones
anymore.
Eventually we found one pulled off occasionally, because we never
checked
the screws, and after a year or so they can loosen up some. Also, some
people will use brute force, rarely, but it happens.

Hoping that helps,
Judith

I have some older reader/printers which allow for the film to wound
totally off the reel. Needless to say, it is very tedious to wind the
tape on the reel by hand. I have checked several suppliers and cannot
find rewinder for microfilm. Does not such a thing exist?
