SIRSI's Unicorn does use the season codes:

21  Spring
22  Summer
23  Fall
24  Winter

There are two type of Season pattern, based on whether Winter starts or
ends the calendar year.  It took us some time to really understand that
distinction, but we now find that it meets our needs for the cases (the
majority) where all four seasons appear in the publication pattern.
