This is actually a negative comment. We currently use DRA and it is NOT
a
good system for serials nor for acquisitions. I hated the acquisitions
module so much I actually set my own up using Microsoft Access when I
worked at a fairly small academic library. Also, DRA was just bought
out by SIRSI so there are long-term implications with that.

I used to use III and I liked it fairly well for serials. I do not know
how its acquisitions systems was, though. Good luck!

Hi Folks,
I've been searching the Serialst archives for info. on this one but I
should have realised that any comments would, of course, have been
sent to the individual privately.

We are looking at migrating to a new integrated library system.
If you absolutely adore your system would you tell me what it is and
why it's so great.
I am particulary interested from the point of view of acquisitions of
both books and serials.

Only comments from users please, not salespersons.

Please reply to me personally and not to the list, but I'll summarize
for the list.

Thanks
Barbara

Any comments are my own.
