Subject: Superfluous Dates?

Back in 1991 in the SERIALST archives there is a thread with the subject
"superfluous dates" regarding monthlies with day dates and annuals with
month dates. The general consensus was to include the "extra" date until
an LCRI comes along, even though it may be confusing to patrons who see a
designation such as "September 1999" on an annual report and think it's a
monthly. In my case I have annual reports with the month and year
prominent on the cover for each volume. Since the time of that thread,
has anyone heard of anything from Conser or LC on handling this? Thanks!
