Subject: ALPSP Copyright Workshop
ALPSP is running a half-day workshop on 27 April on the subject of
'Government and Copyright: issues about Crown and Parliamentary Copyright'.
Full details and a booking form can be found on the ALPSP website
(www.alpsp.org). We hope to see you there.
The UK Government is committee to openness and freedom of information.
However, the regulations surrounding Crown Copyright, and evidence submitted
to parliamentary select committees, can seem very complex to publishers.
In this workshop the experts will explain the new licence for Crown
Copyright material, and the procedure to be followed when publishing
evidence previously submitted to parliamentary select committees.
Experienced publishers will outline the problems and pitfalls as they see
them. Finally, the panel will discuss questions from the delegates;
ideally, questions should be submitted in advance, but they will also be
accepted from the floor.
