Dear Jeffrey:

        Thanks for that comment!
I've already suggested as much to the people at Consumer reports,
and, what is more, have been forwarding them (as in this case here) copies
of each of the replies posted in response to my recent SERIALST inquiries
(having been told over the phone that they were aware of no systemic
incompetency!).
And in fact, it was a (the usual) problem with my subscription to
Consumer reports that served this time as the straw that broke the camel's
back. (I've had to scramble for every issue so far this year, as is par for
the EDS course.)

Sincerely,

Steve Perisho

What amazes me is Consumer Reports is one of the journals we have trouble
with due to those idiots in Boulder. Maybe they should do a report on
fulfillment houses.
