Just a word of warning! Contact the provider(if you pay them) and see
if
another provider is picking up the service(they aren't obliged to tell
you,
however, if there is). Also, see if you are going to be owed money.
Also,
contact the subscription department for those newspapers. They might
have
information on carriers that they hire or independents that they
sub-contract. I have experienced this many times with one national
paper.
I found that my local convenience stores and drug stores have more info
about the carriers than I will(since they are usually bigger customers
and
new carriers will contact them.)

I believe that most serials jobbers, such as Faxon and Ebsco, can
supply newspapers, although they will probably come by mail and be a
few days late.

Good afternoon.
I am a new subscriber to this list. I am in a bit of a panic, and was
wondering if anyone could help. We were informed today that the provider
of
the majority of our out-of-town newspapers, Austin News Service, will no
longer exist after Jan 15. Could anyone recommend another service, or
warn
me of services to avoid? Any information would be great. Thanks!
