Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to notify you of the availability of the latest version
of Module 31, Remote Access Serials of the CONSER Cataloging Manual on
the CONSER Web site at: http://lcweb.loc.gov/acq/conser/module31.html.
 This revision includes recently-decided CONSER policies relating to
multiple electronic versions and the newly-revised LCRI 1.11A.  Much
of the module was updated as well.

I want to thank Les Hawkins, Carroll Davis, and CONSER participants
Valerie Bross (UCLA), Becky Culbertson (UC, San Diego), David Van Hoy
(MIT), Naomi Young (Florida), Steve Shadle (Washington), Tom Champagne
(Michigan), and John Riemer (UCLA) for their work on this module.  The
above have been designated as our CONSER "E-serial specialists" and
will be responsible for identifying needed changes to the module and
helping in its revision.

The module will be available in print as Update 11, Fall 2000 to the
CONSER Cataloging Manual some time in the next few months.
