Subject: Search extended - Acquisitions and Serials Librarian,
                  Nova Southe astern University Libraries

Nova Southeastern University Libraries, Fort Lauderdale, FL, invites
applications for the position of Acquisitions and Serials Librarian,
Einstein Library.  Reporting to the Assistant University Librarian for
Technical Services, the Acquisitions and Serials Librarian will coordinate
the ordering and receiving of materials for the Einstein Library and its
branches, supervising a staff of 3.5 FTE, plus 2-3 FTE student assistants.
Incumbent will work collaboratively with the Einstein Library's Head of
Collection Development to monitor expenditures and track vendor performance.

Required qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited school.  Two to
four years of acquisitions and/or serials experience with an integrated
library system.  Knowledge of business and accounting practices.  Thorough
knowledge of MS Excel and Access.  Successful supervisory experience.
Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, faculty, staff and vendors.
Ability to work independently and to solve problems.  Preferred
qualifications: Experience with OCLC and Innovative Interfaces online
library systems.  Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access.

Salary and benefits: Mid $30s for 12-month appointment.  Benefits include
TIAA-CREF, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, generous vacation and sick leave, tuition
