Subject: Job Opening: Electronic Content Librarian

Rohm and Haas Company, a Fortune 200 global specialty chemical
company, has an immediate opening for an Electronic Content Librarian
in our Knowledge Center located at our suburban Philadelphia research
facility in Spring House, PA. (See: www.rohmhaas.com for the Rohm and

We seek a creative leader with demonstrated initiative in implementing
delivery and use of electronic information resources.  We are a team
oriented proactive group with strong management support.  We work
closely with our customers in an informal and creative environment.

In this position you will manage electronic and print collection
development, including needs assessment, negotiation, licensing, and
implementation. You will be responsible for outreach to the global user
community to facilitate access and use of chemical and business
electronic information sources for reference and current awareness.
Working with other Knowledge Center members, you will contribute to the
Knowledge Center web site including page development and oversight of
operations application development.

An MLS or equivalent or BS, BA, or MS in Chemistry or related
discipline is required. You should possess an in-depth knowledge of
the content of print and electronic information resources, as well as
critical evaluation skills. Strong reference and PC skills, as well as
good interpersonal and communications skills are essential. Knowledge
of HTML or a page editing package preferred.
