Lori:

Try:

CATALOGING INTERNET RESOURCES A MANUAL AND PRACTICAL GUIDE, at:
http://www.oclc.org/oclc/man/9256cat/toc.htm

also,
CONSER CATALOGING MANUAL, MODULE 31, REMOTE ACCESS COMPUTER FILES SERIALS, at:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/acq/conser/mod31pt1.html

Field 530 is also used in a print record to note the existence of an
online version whether or not the serial is cataloged separately.
When the serial is not cataloged separately, field 530 might also
include information concerning special system requirements,
restrictions on access, and general information about the coverage.

I would make something like:

530 Abstracts available also on the Internet.
   776 $ttitle (Online)
   856 $uwww...

Subject: electronic journal cataloging question

I am cataloging the electronic version of Computational statistics. The
electronic version contains only abstracts, not full-text articles. My
question is how to handle the "additional physical format" information since
the print version and the electronic version are not equivalent in content.
Would I still use 530 and 776 fields? Is this situation discussed in any of
the standard references? If so, please direct me to the appropriate
sections.

Thanks,
