Please help us spread the word on an
event that is open to all job seekers
and employers in the Library and
Information Science community:
The University of Missouri-Columbia is
hosting the 2nd Annual Virtual Library
and Information Science Job Fair
designed to be easy for everyone to
attend - it's all on-line! No parking
hassles. No shirt, shoes or tie
required. Come as you are because it's
all virtual!
This is a one-week only event that will
take place October 23-29, 2000. All
candidates are welcome - there is NO fee
for candidates to participate.
Candidates will have the opportunity to
post their resume on-line and then view
job openings the week of the fair. Last
year 75 employers participated from
across the U.S.
Employers are charged a nominal
registration fee of $35.00, which gives
them unlimited access to resumes and the
ability to post all their positions for
candidates to view. This is much less
than the cost of most advertising and
last year over 300 pre-approved
candidates participated.
Academic libraries, public libraries,
school libraries, special libraries and
database vendors are all welcome.
Candidates and employers can register
on-line at
http://www.coe.missouri.edu/~career/virtual.html
.
This will be a week of intense
connection between candidates and
employers! Get started making your
connections by joining us in October!
