This particular case hasn't come to my attention, but given
the troubles we've had with Schwann over the years nothing would surprise
me. I certainly nominate them for a "lifetime
achievement" award.

As subscribers to Schwann Opus (which changed to annual), we have started
getting Schwann Inside Jazz & Classical. Our first issue was Sept. 2000
and was v. 1 # 1. We have now gotten October 2000 (v. 1 # 2), so I called
them because the OCLC record shows v. 1 # 1 was August 1999.

The answer I got was strange. They said the one starting August 1999 was
for 'dealers' and the one starting September 2000 was for the general
public. In all my years of serials work, I have never heard of this type
of thing. And I don't know if we should use the OCLC record.
