Our library has been using LARS for several years now. I
have used both methods. Presently I ftp our bindery
shipment, and I am very pleased. Heckman has easy
instructions to follow, and it is done with a very clicks
of the mouse. With a disk, they suggested making a
copy of it. The disk had to be packed and then unpacked
when the shipment was returned.

Hi,
We use Houchen bindery and they are not set up for ftpying. I like the disk
because then I have a backup if I need it.

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my LARS query. Everyone is very
positive about using LARS (very good to know) and it was a pretty much
unanimous vote for using FTP. Main reasons were: you don't have to keep
track of the disk, you can make immediate corrections and, very easy to do.
Once again thanks for the input. And thanks for the offers of future
help, as well.
